The M'DAM Label

I enjoy creating with materials, fabrics, ribbons, and trims from bygone eras that carry a richness not seen in modern materials. Sourcing rich fabrics and finding little treasures is a joy - antique French ribbon, rare Swiss braids and straw cloth, vintage Moirè fabric and so much more tucked away in the studio waiting for just the right piece. The M'DAM pieces that we create with reclaimed materials, honour the Make Do and Mend campaign that originated in WWII. 

Occasionally vintage and antique materials have slight imperfections. A tiny fray, a subtle irregularity, a trace of the years. Rather than considering these as flaws, consider them as marks that honour their age.

M'DAM pieces are fashioned slowly with rare and cherished items. Selecting these pieces reflects an appreciation of quality, time and sustainability.
